Custom Modification of existing works of art
can fall into a few simple predefined inexpensive services.
These modification services are:
- cutting in half or half casting for walls
- cutting down to shorten
- adding rectangular or round box extension on top or bottom
- casting with metal or pvc pipe for lamp wiring or fountians.
- Hole to hold umbrella with a pvc pipe and foam filling.
- extra weight reforcement
- custom finish matching
Our duplication service
will take a piece provided to us
which you either designed yourself, is now in the public domain,
or you have obtained rights to duplicate.
If it is a existing work of art (called a master) which needs to be
restored first, our artisians will make a waste mold of the original.
Cast duplicates and then fix the duplicates to make final master.
Our artisians (who have been making molds for over 30 years)
take your master prep it then make a mold. From this mold we can
then cast 1 or 10,000 duplicates of your item in any of our
casting mediums.
Presently we cast in:
Plaster
GFRC (glass fiber reinforced cement)
Aqua Resin over foam
Aqua resin over Plaster
Portland Cement
Crystal Clear Resin
Creation of original new works
require the production of a master and then
duplication through our mold and casting process.
Please note the original piece/master is normal made out an
inexpensive material which will not survive the mold making process,
such as foam, clay, fiberboard and other pieces.
The original Art work masters creation fall under 3 categories
1) resizing an original piece through the use of computer software and a CNC machine. An exact but expensive process.
2) Deriving a work which is the creation of new combined piece from our
existing pieces and components. This would be the example of taking
a tassel or plaque design and embedding it in the side of a square
pot. This is work done by one of our artisians and is significantly
less in price and much quicker in production time.
2) Commission one of our associated Designers and/or Artists to
sculpt a master from your specifications / pictures. This is the most
expensive and time consuming option. But well worth it.
